Ingredients

  • Fresh Strawberries – Organic is best, EWG Dirty Dozen lists them #2 of the fruits with the most pesticides.
  • Freshly-squeezed lemon juice –  Fresh lemon juice makes all the difference in the delicious tart flavor. I recommend investing in a good quality citrus juicer, you’ll use it often.
  • Sweetener I use just a little maple syrup to sweeten my lemonade.  But you can use honey, agave or allulose for low carb.
  • Cold Filtered Water – use sparkling water for a bubbly option.

How to Make Homemade Strawberry Lemonade

This refreshing sweet, tart lemonade is incredibly simple to make, all you need is a lemon juicer and and blender.

  • Rinse and hull the strawberries and place them in a blender.
  • Add 1 cups water, the lemon juice and sweetener. Blend on high for 2 minutes until smooth. It will be a little frothy at first but if you let it sit, it will smooth out after about 15 minutes. If you want it even smoother you can strain it, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
  • Pour into a large pitcher and stir in the remaining 2 cups of water. Taste to adjust sweetener.
